The sanctuary of San Romedo is dedicated to the figure of San Romedo - located on a steep spur of rock, in the beautiful natural scenery of the Val di Non, in the municipality of Coredo.
The sanctuary consists of five churches built over a period of about nine hundred years between 1000 and 1918. The five churches were built close to a steep rock wall and are joined together by a spectacular staircase of 130 steps. It is visited every year by about 200,000 people, and is guarded by two friars of the Order of St. Francis of Assisi.
