In Martignano there are two churches. One, the oldest, dedicated to St. Isidore where already in the seventeenth century was celebrated the Sunday mass. The second, dedicated to Maria Ausiliatrice dates back to the 50s, built by the work of the parish priest, Father Seraphim Leone (1903-1955, pastor 1938-1954), whose work for civil development of the country is remembered on a plaque at the entrance and the church, and to whom is dedicated the town's main street (via Don Leone Serafini). In fact, besides the church, he erected the nursery school (kindergarten now named after don Leone Serafini) and took care of the development of various associations.
